ISO Travel Solutions and Wikinger Reisen are celebrating their 25th partnership anniversary
Wikinger Reisen and ISO Travel Solutions are celebrating a joint anniversary this year: Europe's market leader for hiking tours has been relying on the ISO-Gruppe's tourism software solutions since 1997.
The journey together began 25 years ago with the then-new tour operator system ITOS V10, which was already equipped with a Windows interface and a modern operation via PC mouse. In the mid-1990s, applications that could only be operated via keyboard were still common in the tourism industry. The pilot program went live in 1997 and laid the foundation for ISO's growth in the tourism systems market. Wikinger Reisen later migrated to ISO's successor systems, the OCEAN software suites, and the current Pacific; Wikinger Reisen also implemented the Emerald CRM system.
Meanwhile, with Georg Kraus, his son Daniel Kraus and his grandson Janek Kraus, the ISO has accompanied the third generation of the family-run company. Thus, an extremely trusting cooperation has developed over the past 25 years. ISO's constant focus on quality and reliability has convinced the travel company from Hagen in North Rhine-Westphalia. Therefore, Wikinger Reisen currently extended the contract with ISO Travel Solutions GmbH for a full four years. In addition, a joint marketing campaign is planned.
Thoughts on the anniversary
"The introduction of ITOS V10 at Wikinger Reisen in 1997 was the first project I had the pleasure of supporting for ISO," recounts Markus Kretschmer, today Managing Director, ISO Travel Solutions GmbH. "Directly on my first working days, my way led me to Hagen to the Wikinger Reisen office. Therefore, I feel a strong personal connection to our long-standing customer and partner. The ISO team is proud that Wikinger Reisen has been loyal to us for 25 years and that we will now continue our cooperation for the next four years."
"ISO Travel Solutions has been a trusted partner of Wikinger Reisen for 25 years and is the backbone of our tourism product," explains Janek Kraus, co-CEO of Wikinger Reisen.
