Röhm GmbH — relies on the data quality tools from ISO Professional Services GmbH for SAP S/4HANA

Röhm GmbH, based in Darmstadt, Germany, is one of the leading suppliers of methacrylate chemistry. As a global company with production sites on four continents, Röhm employs around 3,500 people and produces more than 1 million tons of products and intermediates per year. The product portfolio includes the world-renowned PLEXIGLAS® brand and its most important raw material, methyl methacrylate. Röhm supplies numerous customers in the automotive, electronics and construction industries with these products and generated sales of around €1.8 billion in 2021.

In 2019, Röhm GmbH emerged as an independent company from Evonik Industries AG. In order to create a globally standardized and harmonized process landscape, Röhm is currently converting its SAP environment to SAP S/4HANA in a project. In the selection process for a new master data governance tool, a procedure was started in which the company chose the solution from ISO Professional Services GmbH.

In the selection process, the required functions and processes were examined by the providers in several workshops. A central requirement for Röhm was that the provider must be able to map the data governance process for the business partner and material master close to SAP. The ISO governance process is integrated into the SAP standard, so that the user can find himself in the familiar transactions such as BP (business partner) and MM01 (material master).

Röhm also places high demands on the complex set of rules within the creation and maintenance process for the material master and business partner. ISO Professional Services provides a framework that enables the implementation of the BRF+ (Business Rule Framework) rules in the Marlin tools. Another decision criterion for ISO Professional Services are the additional data quality tools that are integrated into the data governance process.

The project includes the ISO products Marlin Master Data Governance for the business partner, VAT-ID Check, Duplicate Check, and Data Governance process for the material master. The ISO Professional Services SAP experts are implementing the data governance process for the material master and business partner and creating the framework for implementing the BRF+ rules, in three subprojects.

The project started in May 2022, with a planned project duration of six months.
