The new Airline Distribution
New Distribution Capability (NDC) is a travel industry-supported program launched by IATA for the development and market adoption of a new, XML-based data transmission standard.
ONE Order aims to optimize the entire process chain – by eliminating limiting ticket-related processes and formats as well as preventing data duplication. This will lead to reduced costs for data integration and synchronization. ONE Order allows uniform communication with all service providers including ticketless carriers and non-air service providers – for an almost unlimited product portfolio.
With the integration of NDC and ONE Order into its system solutions, ISO offers you the benefit of the new IATA approach.
In cooperation with IATA we have conducted two ONE Order pilots to determine whether ONE Order can support the accounting processes of our airline customers for different business models:
- for our existing Revenue Accounting System
- as a direct interface between the Order Management System (OMS) and Financial Accounting (ERP) – in partnership with Condor
Strategic Partners – ISO and IATA
Thanks to its strategic partnership with IATA, ISO has been involved in the development of the new standards already at an early stage. Since late summer 2018, the ISO has been operating a ONE Order Pilot that essentially describes the interaction of an order management system and (revenue) accounting. In its November 2018 Newsletter, IATA highlighted ISO activities in this segment.
