Brewster Travel Canada chooses Pacific by ISO Travel Solutions as its Central Reservation System
Brewster Travel Canada, headquartered in Banff, Alberta, is one of most prestigious Canadian tour operators. The corporation owns and operates numerous tourist attractions in Canada, including 14 hotels, a cable railway, a lake cruise line as well as “Explore Rockies” and “Canada a la Carte”.
To ensure competitiveness for the future, Brewster has decided to use ISO Travel Solutions’ Pacific software as the central reservation system for all its business areas. This will allow the Canadian corporation to maintain its entire product portfolio from a central hub, while generating more product combinations and providing them across all sales channels and brands. Thanks to its modular design, Pacific can easily be adapted to existing processes and offers interfaces to own property management as well as external purchasing and sales systems.
The web-based reservation system Pacific supports all the tasks of a tour operator. Designed as a software toolkit on the basis of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Pacific consists of several so-called “software services” that cover all requirements of modern travel distribution – all via Internet of course. ISO’s experience and current market requirements result in the dynamic travel components (DTC) strategy: individually configurable, modular Java components to meet the most diverse needs. Because of the modern technologies applied, external systems can easily be integrated with the overall concept. The Dynamic Travel Components are developed according to the latest principles of software development in a model- and test-driven manner using an open source production environment.
Once the system is live, some 100 users at Brewster will work with Pacific and Emerald, the tourism CRM system by ISO Travel Solutions.
Brewster Inc. is owned by Viad (pronounced VEE-ahd), a S&P SmallCap 600 Company, comprised of businesses that provide high-quality service and hold leading positions in the markets they serve. Regarding its decision to implement Pacific, George Hines, CIO of VIAD, says: “We are proud of our travel assets and the iconic destinations in which we operate, and we are always seeking ways to expand our business. In order to improve the distribution of our products and services to drive top-line revenue as well as to enhance our customer experience, we researched the market for the right travel platform to enable our diversified Travel & Recreation Group business to better manage our vacation packaging and fulfillment. We came to the conclusion that ISO offered the most flexible and modern platform for our organization. ISO's approach to customizing its powerful platform to our specific requirements was one of the determining factors for success in this project. We look forward to implementing Pacific and its Customer Relationship Management Module (Emerald) and continuing our great working relationship with ISO.”
