Here you will find frequently asked questions about your application to the ISO-Gruppe, as well as useful tips for preparing for the application process.

Application questions

After you submit your application, we will contact you immediately to confirm receipt. If there is a match, we look forward to getting to know you in a first interview. Did you do well in the interview and can you see yourself working for us? Then we look forward to meeting you to discuss your new working environment in more detail.

If it doesn't work out this time, we ask for your permission to keep your documents in our talent pool.

Haven't found a suitable position, but still think we're exciting? Then send us an unsolicited application! We will carefully review your documents and see what opportunities there are for you in the ISO-Gruppe. If there is no match at the moment, we will be happy to store your documents in our talent pool.

The more detailed your application, the better our first impression of you will be. Your application should include a cover letter, resume, certificates, and transcripts. Please send everything in PDF format.

Of course you can! You are welcome to reapply for a job at any time.

We also offer great opportunities for career changers - whether in administration, recruiting, or software development as a Scrum Master or Product Owner. What is important is that you are committed to the new role and willing to learn. A similar education or a related profession in which you have worked before is of course an advantage.

For example, have you worked in an office in the hospitality industry? Then you will find your way around our back office quickly. Or do you have experience in an industry in which we operate? Great!

Application Tips

Not sure how to write your cover letter? Think of it as an opportunity to express your enthusiasm for the position and why you are the ideal candidate. Make sure the cover letter is no longer than one A4 page and written in the language of the job ad.

These questions can help you:

  • What skills and abilities do you have that will enable you to do the job well?
  • What motivates you to work in the ISO-Gruppe and in this job?
  • What makes you stand out?

Other tips for your cover letter:

  • Expand on one or two skills or experiences from your resume.
  • Tailor your cover letter to the position you are applying for.

A photo is not required. It is up to you to decide if you want to use one. With a photo, we can literally get a picture of you.

We recommend that you tailor your resume to the job posting. Why? That way, you can show exactly which of your experiences and skills are relevant to the job.

Highlight the most important tasks and accomplishments for each of your positions, because this is about focus, not pages and pages of lists.

Top tips for your resume:

  • Use a common format and easy-to-read font.
  • Limit yourself to a few meaningful bullet points for each position.
  • Ideally, your resume should be one to two pages long.
  • Check your resume for spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Make sure it is well organized and easy to read.

Have you been invited for an interview? Great! We were interested in your application and would like to meet you in person to learn more about you.

Here are some tips for the interview:

The interview is your chance to find out if the job is what you are looking for. Therefore, you should know exactly what you expect and how you want to develop, so that you can compare if this is the right job for you. So prepare your questions.

Good preparation will give you confidence: be prepared for questions about your background, qualifications and motivation for the position.

You are well prepared and on your way to the interview, but the subway is late? This can easily throw you off your game. Give yourself plenty of time.

Make sure you speak clearly during the interview and make eye contact during the one-on-one interview. Our colleagues are professionals, and they can support you.

Questions about the ISO-Gruppe

First things first: Welcome on board. We welcome all new employees to our Welcome Day. Get to know your new colleagues and get a first impression of us. Afterwards, your departmental colleagues will be waiting for you.

We believe it is important to find a balance between work and personal life. For this reason, we generally offer flexible working hours. Core working hours are Monday through Thursday between 10:00 and 16:00 and Friday between 10:00 and 14:00. If you have an important appointment, we are sure to find a solution.

Depending on the job, customer environment and production environment, working from home is possible. Each ISO division is individual and therefore the home office regulations vary accordingly.

We have short decision paths and flat hierarchies that enable our project teams to be agile and flexible. Our talents and skills enable us to master socially relevant and forward-looking IT projects.

Do you want to continue to develop your skills? At the ISO-Gruppe, training is a top priority. Our learning methods are as varied as our content - from in-house seminars tailored to specific topics to training from external providers. English and German courses are part of our standard program and are customized to meet the needs of each group.

When a project is completed or new responsibilities arise, it is possible to change departments. Many colleagues have successfully taken advantage of this opportunity.

Short-term international assignments of a few weeks to a few months are possible as part of international projects.

We leave the choice up to you. In our daily work in the office, we can be seen in a T-shirt as well as in a shirt. Business attire is only required for customer contact and official occasions.

As an internationally established company, #teamISO is spread across several locations in and outside of Germany. Details can be found on a separate page here.
